I'm a hands-on manager providing direct and indirect supervision to our technical, customer support, and software teams at United Datacom Networks (and the Cloud My Office brand).I work with the rest of the team to develop and refine our strategy around a full suite of Cloud and MSP offerings, and to ensure that we align strategy with customer demands and team capabilities.My teams engineer and support complex technical solutions based on a wide variety of third party, open-source, and in-house products. These systems include a hosted VoIP platform, automated monitoring and alerting systems, and a full stack VDI provisioning and management system with white-label capability.I provide proven and deep expertise in full-stack technical team leadership, as well in specific technologies including: Citrix, RDS, Azure, Office 365, AWS, private cloud builds, SDN, routing technologies (BGP, OSPF), cloud migrations, and more.

I founded the company behind Cloud My Office, and invested more than 7 years growing an extremely successful brand and business. This effort culminated in an acquisition by United Datacom Networks!The flagship product that my team created, Cloud My Office, included proprietary web-based management technology that made deploying VDI easy, repeatable, and reliable.We built the technology to manage desktops from the ground up. We engineered the custom hardware configurations that make virtual desktops fast and reliable from the ground up. When we needed a datacenter specifically designed to support fast virtual desktops, we built that from the ground up too. And of course we also built a top-notch customer service group from the ground up, so that we could provide excellent support to our customers and partners.I led the engineering effort to build, outfit and operate a private Tier-III datacenter facility, including migration of data and hardware from an existing facility to our new location. This datacenter, in addition to our subsequent management of the facility, was rewarded with several consecutive SOC audits reporting no findings.

Managed information systems for build-out of new 20k SQFT space, worked day-to-day with helpdesk technicians to ensure reliable operation of servers and end-user systems. Developed and coordinated DR/backup plans.

Developed an industry-specific application to track and data-mine manufacturing, returns, turn time and more. Application is web-based, developed on a LAMP stack.

Partnered a startup. “Bullet Books” (named after Gettysburg College’s mascot) as a site providing a user-drive brokering marketplace for used books. We connected holders of used books with buyers of used books.-Specifed, designed, implemented and maintained a subscription-based website that facilitated the exchange of used books between students at Gettysburg College.
