I work on contract with CTA TCP assisting with urban planning for the second largest transit system in the nation. I support federal grant writing and various capital projects, while also managing form uniformity within the construction department.

I make connections with target communities to get out the word of urban flooding mitigation. I create and execute strategies for reaching the public and municipal leaders. We believe that flooding and wet basements are huge burdens for people who are commonly ignored because they don't live in a defined floodplain. We want everyone to get the aid and attention they deserve to stop urban flooding. It is my position to educate the public on the great work we are doing. • As a CDBG planner for several communities, completed 33% of all capital projects in the department• Completed all projects within the approved budgets • Ensured that federal and county regulations are upheld by subrecipients, while searching for methods of improving the program functionality. • Created 100% of maps, program documents, and datasets for groups within the Bureau. • Skills obtained: Federal regulation adherence, procurement and Davis-Bacon procedures, political relations, teamwork, advancement of computer skills and programs, problem analysis, policy analysis and creation.

I worked with five communities on a contractual basis to help them progress their CDBG projects.

• Created a building footprint for the entire municipality and data sets using ArcGis.

Conducted outreach in various capacities throughout Northeastern Illinois promoting the comprehensive plan. Provided instruction and training for elected officials and representatives of municipalities. Responsible for creating reports, summaries, and presentations for the Executive Director and Deputy Directors. Refer to projects below. Skills obtained: Independent work, forecasting, public speaking, political and public relations, regional planning, advancement of computer skills and programs.

Supervised 13 security staff responsible for the security of 1,300 university residents and their guests. Responsible for hiring, preparing payroll, and general oversight of the safety of the residence halls. Skills obtained: Teamwork, supervisory skills, human resources, peer management, timekeeping, diversity training, night shift hours, decision making, and conflict resolution.

MGM- Quick Food and Beverage, Conducted restaurant operations and world-class customer service. Duties included: cashier, greeter, and preparation. Skills obtained: money handling, customer service, calm under pressure, hospitality, food handling.
