As my daughter Grace said yesterday, “Mom could make friends with a brick wall.” That’s me, guilty as charged! I can talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere – It just comes naturally to me. I’m an excellent communicator and have become proficient in using this skill to charm customers and manage employees. • In June of 2020 I created the Facebook Group Arkansas Women’s Kayaking. A group where women can come together in a safe environment to share advice, experience, shuttles, and group events. The group has grown to a over 7,000 members and has hosted over 200 events. Previous positions include, Patient Access Representative in the Opthalmology and Optometry Clinic and at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. • From 2012 to 2020 I was a Substitute Teacher in the Cabot School District. I was the “Sub” that students loved to have and the one that teachers requested. They knew they could count on me to be there when they need me. • Before that, I chose to prioritize raising a family and was blessed to spend several years as a full-time Mom. I had time to volunteer and be actively involved in my children’s lives. I was a PTO Committee Chairman, PTO Treasurer, Cub Scout Assistant Den Leader, Boy Scout Leader, and Girl Scout Leader/Cookie Manager. I was a Room Mom too many times to count, and never missed a school event or party. I Organized and participated in a number of fundraising campaigns for these groups, including raising money for a new playground and library books. I was on the Neighborhood Council and Pool Committee in a neighborhood with 864 homes. I accumulated a number of skills during these years, that would make me an asset to any employer.• I have over 10 years of office experience. 3.5 of which I was responsible for all aspects of Human Resources.• In addition to this, I have experience in Medical Office, Office Management, and Retail Management.• This may seem like quite varied work experience, but all these positions have one thing in common – They all involve being good at working with people.• They also all require exceptional communication and organization skills, creative problem solving, time management, excellent oral and written communication skills, creativity and flexibility.• The most important thing my experiences have taught me is – You CAN make the horse drink the water – You just have to know HOW to ask.
