- Managed about 450 reprint orders from initial order to finished book, with about 100 reprints active at any one time. - Negotiated prices and schedules with printer representatives in Italy, China, and the USA- Worked with the editorial department to submit and approve corrected text and images for approximately 3 reprints for every 20 orders on a tight schedule- Worked with the marketing department to quote quantities and negotiate prices and schedules

- Supported 5 Production Managers through about 100 books per season, distributing and shipping materials such as proofs, samples and books through every phase of the book production process - Managed five front list titles from proofing and schedule negotiation to finished product - Communicated with printer representatives in China and Italy to ensure correct, timely, and quality book production - Maintained spreadsheets that tracked advance distribution, archive files, invoices, etc. - Checked invoices against purchase orders to ensure correct invoicing from the printer - Indexed and reorganized the file archive

Within two months of working at The Book Loft, it became obvious that I was the employee most equipped to operate the children’s section. I knew the merchandise, enjoyed the small and curious customers, and had an eye for the many dumps and displays the section required. From September 2016 to August 2017, four rooms of children’s, middle grade, and young adult fiction and nonfiction became my special domain. I treasured the position and made significant improvements to a section of the store that already accounted for one third of all sales. The Book Loft is an independent, bustling, 32-room bookstore taking up a block of Columbus’ historic German Village. - Organized, stocked, managed, and bought inventory for 4 rooms of middle grade, young adult, and children’s books – rooms which accounted for a third of all sales- Participated in and organized author events at venues inside and outside the bookstore- Cashiered in a fast-paced environment while answering phones- Trained new employees to stock 32 rooms of shelves and work the cash register

Questily is a start-up dedicated to bringing technology and collaboration into the k-6 classroom. I edited and created content for their 1st-5th grade lessons on common core math.- Consulted with K-6 teachers to edit and write copy for an interactive, collaborative iPad app- Self-started in a busy, start-up environment using my own ideas for lessons, games, and stories that would get kids involved and excited about common core math- Worked remotely, communicating regularly with a small team

On a campus serving more than ten thousand students, it is important to create inclusive and tight-knit communities. Lincoln house is an on-campus residence hall with 500 student residents, and my floor held 60 residents. We learned together everyday through programming, semesterly conversations, and by living together. - Programmed for 60 residents, advocating for inclusion, community, wellness, and learning-Researched and designed 15 bulletin boards encouraging alcohol awareness, effective study habits, self-care, campus tips, affirmation, reflection, and diversity- Collaborated with university faculty and staff to facilitate academic programs- Appointed and advised the Lincoln Activities Board, which supports building and campus-wide programs promoting wellness, diversity, sustainability, and community service.

Positioned at a centrally located information desk at Thompson Library, I was in a great place to direct patrons to research materials, and to answer questions about campus, The OSU library system, and the library website. I also answered phones in the office and went to remote residence hall locations to help students with their research projects. - Answered patrons' questions in person and on the phone about navigating the OSU libraries website, the catalogue, research techniques, research materials, online journals, article express, other OSU resources, Ohio State campus, and more.

BalletMet is a nonprofit organization in Columbus, Ohio. I found them when I was looking for adult ballet lessons a year earlier. Working in their office, just a staircase away from professional dancers and musicians, was a joy. This is the office space that let me utilize years of professional writing practice.- Designed and wrote content for 3-5 page audience guides for Ballet showsusing InDesign and Illustrator to generate interest in academy performances- Drafted thank you letters to state representatives, senators and city officials to nurture responsible relationships with donors and arts supporters- Wrote, condensed, and edited various marketing projects including radio spots, biographies, press releases, sales letters, and brochures- Started gathering information for an editorial style guide

UWeekly (now 1870) is a magazine that focuses on entertainment and news around Ohio State University and Columbus. This is the first time I saw my writing published on a weekly basis. In the summer of 2013, I was an editorial intern for Chelsea Castle. In addition to writing, I edited drafts and used InDesign to format pages.- Wrote 29 articles directed at Ohio State college students under strict weekly deadlines- Conducted interviews with Columbus business owners, students, and residents- Copyedited and proofread magazine copy for 12 weekly publications
