As Director of Student Affairs, Rebecca engages in strategic planning and manages the execution of strategic and student-focused initiatives with the Working Professional & Executive MBA Sr. Assistant Dean to foster an engaged student community and advance the mission of the Texas McCombs Executive MBA Program.

Lead Working Professional MBA program operations for three individual locations, one each in Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston. Operational duties include high-level oversight of course and faculty scheduling, student affairs and academic advising, registration, billing, managing offsite vendor contracts, as well as major MBA student events such as orientation and convocation. Manage a team of 8 student affairs professionals and serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and other professional staff at the University of Texas at Austin to maximize opportunities across all programs.Evaluate student experience and satisfaction, and execute strategic initiatives alongside the Working Professional MBA Assistant Dean to foster an engaged student community. Plan programs and advance the mission of the Texas MBA Program and McCombs School of Business through key stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Serve as liaison to senior leadership on strategic initiatives include identifying, planning and implementing operational improvements across programs and for special projects on behalf of Working Professional MBA programs and senior leadership.

Regularly support 200+ Working Professional MBA students meeting and communicating weekly to guide and enhance the experience during the program; evaluating the program through exit surveys to show annual increase in satisfaction of student affairs (2013, 2014, 2015). Act as liaison between students and the University, including being the primary source of most University communications. Provide overall coordination and delivery of the Texas Evening MBA program, including interaction with students, faculty, classroom facility staff and related vendors. Plan and manage delivery of key program events (Austin Intensives, Graduation, Community-Building Events, etc). Evaluate processes, identify opportunities for improvement and streamline where applicable. Oversight/management of course scheduling, registration, and student billing for Working Professional MBA Programs.

Primary contact and liaison between applicants, BSOM faculty, UT Graduate and International Admissions Center (GIAC), Office of Graduate Studies (OGS), International office, and others. Processed graduate music applications, beginning from point of inquiry up to applicant’s acceptance or denial from the graduate school. Coordinate audition dates. Compile reports of graduate application and admissions numbers and statistics.

Provided support to the Texas Dallas/Fort Worth MBA students, faculty and alumni. Assisted the Program Coordinator in planning for the upcoming semester, organized and distributed course materials, coordinated student events and assisted students with any issues that might arise.
