Ensure the delivery of effective child protection programs globally through supporting in program development, fundraising, quality assurance, advocacy, recruitment, capacity building, policy and best practice development, knowledge management, and networking.

Deployments: Ethiopia (June 2011), Pakistan (Sept 2010), Yemen (Aug 2010), Haiti (Jan – July, Nov 2010), Afghanistan (Dec– Jan 09-10), Myanmar (Sept 2009), Zimbabwe (Aug 2009), Liberia (May – June 2009, April 2011)•Conducted child protection and education assessments and programming to start up programs.•Based on initial assessments, started a 2.5 million dollar Family Tracing and Reunification program (including alternative care), child friendly spaces, and non-formal education program in Haiti.•Represented IRC with Government Officials (Ministries – social affairs/education, mayors, local authorities) in Liberia, Zimbabwe, Haiti, Yemen, and Pakistan..•Developed Case Management Guidelines.•Input into the child and protection sections of the revised version of the Sphere Standards.

•Managed $1.5 million emergency and early recovery child protection program, serving 11,000 children and 5,000 youth daily across five field sites in North, South, and West Darfur •Developed strategic plan, and overall vision for CYPD program targeting preschool children and youth.•Wrote and reported on up to nine grants at a time, including DFiD, ECHO, OFDA, and UNICEF.•Provided technical support and remote supervision for 21 staff and 179 preschool teachers working in 19 camps.

•Created, implemented, and evaluated an emergency psychosocial program for refugee children and youth.•Coordinated team of social workers to monitor, support, refer and document 1,500 at-risk children.•Formed male and female youth-initiated social, cultural, and recreational activities.

• Coordinated patient care with families and doctors and empowered patients to make informed decisions, meet with surgeons, understand health insurance options, and coordinate services for home care. •Provided patients and families with information on home services and end-of-life care.

Led a support group and individual counseling for high risk adolescent client and coordinated community outreach with other agencies such as schools, hospitals and juvenile courts.

•Co-authored the first emergency medical dispatcher manual in Mongolia. •Co-taught first aid classes for the medical staff at the Central Health Department/Hospital.•Taught health education, reproductive health, and first aid classes to teenagers.

Med-Care Ambulance provides basic and paramedic care in emergencies for 11 towns in Western Maine. •Triaged medical emergencies, stabilizing and treating patient’s injuries.
