Events range from Space U to international dignitary visits.

Oversees planning and implementation of several Houston Zoo events and campaigns including Zoobilee, a member appreciation party, Chill Out events, such as Evening Chill, Zoo Boo, Feast with the Beasts, Zoo Lights and other ticketed and non-ticketed weekend events.

Managed the Houston Zoo's Electronic Device Recycling and Reduction Take Action program. This includes maintaining the zoo's electronic device recycling and reduction-focused research and promotion, communication/planning with all departments of the zoo and maintaining consistent zoo and Central African conservation partner-supported content and messaging. Supporting zoo staff and volunteer needs, incorporating messaging into events and activities, and working with external stakeholders & partners (other zoo and organizations) to enhance collective efforts. Sustains and evolves the Action for Apes program.

Messaged about the Houston Zoo and its animals to a variety of audiences thru external and in-zoo advertising, public events, strategic partnerships, collateral, and more. We strove to present animal and conservation information in a fun and engaging way, with a goal driving zoo attendance and educating zoo guests. In everything we did, we sought to support and to connect communities with animals, inspiring action to save wildlife.Public events included small events like Photo Day to larger events like Zoo Boo and Zoo Lights. Advertising included TV, radio, print, outdoor and digital. Collateral included visitor guides, coupons and a retired Wildlife magazine. Promotions and partnerships including AZA and sports affiliates with follow-up sponsor fulfillment and recaps.
