As Portfolio Optimisation Manager Rebecca is responsible for scoping, designing and developing solutions to enhance portfolio performance, project management process and system optimisation. Rebecca worked in the Programme Management Office (PMO) for the West of England area at Network Rail, this office is responsible for the overall £5B capital program, contributing to the management of large scale engineering programmes such as Crossrail (currently Europe’s largest civil engineering project) and the Great Western Route Modernisation. Her primary objective was to build a long term, deconflicted plan, based around network access and critical resources to integrate large scale engineering programs. The integration of this work was recognised as the region's top risk, primarily due to the magnitude of projects which, over four years totaled to circa 5000. In addition to this Rebecca was responsible for monitoring major projects through to completion so was regularly involved with gate reviews, often facilitating out of session reviews to ensure all scenarios had been assessed.
