I'm the mobile engineer on a small R&D team working to launch a new product called Headlamp.Headlamp helps people quickly get the education they need for making career transitions. We use the latest technologies available, like Flutter for mobile, ChatGPT for natural language conversations, and a variety of cloud services.The architecture is my own adaptation of Bob Martin's Clean Architecture that I've been refining for the last 2 years over several projects. This project was a multi-team Fintech mobile project written primarily in Flutter. I was the principal engineer that designed the project using a CLEAN architecture. We had 5 separate teams working in the same codebase, deploying on a biweekly cadence. The project was on a very compressed schedule, and we successfully launched the app to the Apple App and Google Play stores within 4 months. To help make this happen, I mentored and coached less experienced engineers across all 5 teams, helped to define the development standards, and helped to enforce security standards.

Successfully lead a dozen native iOS and Android developers out of the Ukraine and locally. We launched a well used and growing shopping application in Japan. We're currently in the process of expanding the app to other foreign markets.My duties are attending to the needs of the development team, designing system-wide technical solutions, and streamlining the development flow into production.

Vilicus Hydroponics is a startup for monitoring hydroponic plant growth systems using a variety of sensors and mobile software. My responsibility is to design and build the mobile application, including the backend system. The app allows a person to remotely monitor the conditions in the hydroponic system. When conditions go outside of defined parameters, the user is alerted that there is a problem. They can also request updated readings such as an image, CO2, water level, electrical conductivity, water pH, air temperature.

I was the first hire on the mobile development team here and Health Catalyst. I was largely responsible for establishing the development process for the mobile applications. We use Bitbucket for our Git repo. A Jenkins CI server watches for changes on the Bitbucket repositories and builds when changes are detected. Builds are then delivered to Beta by Fabric for delivery.I currently work across iOS, Android, AngularJS, and C# working on our Care Management solution.

For this project, I have designed and built features for a Sencha Touch and PhoneGap mobile app that has been deployed to 6000+ users in iPhone, iPad, Android, and web. I also lead the startup of a native iOS version of the project written in Swift. Additionally, I've designed and built features for the Java server application that backs to app. I've been an influential member of the team. I've focused on looking for weaknesses in the team and project and pushing to improve those areas, including unit testing, software patterns, and product development. I've studied these weaker areas and used various methods to teach and encourage the team.I'm a team-player who considers my teammates my friends as well as my colleagues.

Brilliant Software Consulting is my own software development contracting company. I worked iOS, Android, and Titanium projects from inception, through design, to the app store. Some highlights of projects I've worked:- As part of the Governor of Utah's anti-underage drinking Parent's Empowered campaign, I developed a series of four apps designed to teach parents and children about the dangers of underage drinking.- For the ALON gas station chain in the southwest United States, I developed a sweepstakes app that was promoted at 700+ gas stations.- For the Kuhl outdoor clothing company, I developed an app that is on display at Scheels stores throughout the United States.- I have designed, developed, and promoted my own goal planning and tracking application that has had over 50,000 unique users and 500+ daily sessions.
