Jan 2024 - Present

Archivist I

Greater Los Angeles Area

As an archivist within the Frank O. Gehry Papers project team, I contributed to the daily planning and processing of the collection. I processed architectural projects, materials, and managed the workflow for the coinciding digitization project. I frequently collaborated and communicated with colleagues and supervisors in discussing best practices and timelines while tracking inventory between two separate locations.During the pandemic work from home guidelines interrupted the physical processing tasks of the project. During this period my focus was redirected to the digital quality control for the project slides and the digitized architectural drawings. While working from home, I also contributed to transcribing projects within the institution; the Institutional Archives department and the Pre-Hispanic Art Provenance Initiative (PHAPI) in tandem with my own project tasks.

Library Assistant Ii

1200 Getty Center Dr, Los Angeles, Ca 90049

The Library Assistant position required that I organized my tasks in a timely fashion within an autonomous work environment which focused on Special Collections Processing, general collection materials, and backlogged periodicals. My individual projects included housing and labeling auction catalogs in the open stacks shelves made available to scholars and staff by replacing "New Books" from the acquisitions department. This required removing and replacing the books every week in a specified section within 9 ranges; each contained over 200 books. This tasks also included creating a temporary location in the Exlibiris program for patrons to access online. Circulation duties also required shelving, sorting, paging, and included basic repairs which included spine repair, hinge tears, mylar covers, pockets, CD/DVD tyvek housing, page mending, label removal, measuring enclosures, and cutting pages.
