Developed utility infrastructure to manage configuration of the combined licenses for a NEW nuclear power plant business line. Led INPO preparation teams in the area of configuration management for four (4) utilities in 2002-2006. Re-engineered design engineering processes to meet INPO standards.Organized three CM improvement initiatives. The largest, a $20 million, 50-person design project, reconstituting 35,000 design documents reflecting a nuclear power plant design basis over a period of four (4) years contributing to the NRC's top performance ranking.Developed fleet wide policy and directives for a growing electric utility in 2006. Established common policy in the area of configuration management and common processes and controls at a six (6) nuclear facility utility substantially improving NRC ranking.PROCESS IMPROVEMENTAnalyzed several engineering administrative processes using statistic process controls resulting in a 30% improvement of efficiency contributing to receiving the Albert Deming TQM Award, a utility industry first.Led a team using Business Process Improvement Modeling Techniques that reviewed best-practice processes resulting in standardizing procedures across eleven (11) nuclear stations and consolidating 500 procedures into 50, resulting in common metrics and a mobile workforce.Standardized the engineering training and certification program in accordance with industry requirements across six (6) nuclear facilities creating a mobile engineering work force, and cutting cost for quarterly training by 50%.
