Lead a team of Local and Overseas Mechanical engineers for designing a lower cost higher density chassis. Worked closely with an extended team of Engineers and Managers. Managed Mechanical cross-functional team meetings (ME (Inside/Outside resources), Marketing, Packaging, EMI, Thermal, Compliance, ECAD, HW and Manufacturing) and follow up the issues to closure for a successful product launch.* DCBU Power Supplies and Terminal Blocks (2008/2009): Managed ODM partners for the mechanical aspect of power supply design, review design with them and provide feedback. Review and approved FAI reports and oversee the mechanical testing.* GSBU Catalyst 4500 E chassis Supervisor, Line, Daughter Cards and Power supplies (2006/2008): Took over the design from departing Lead Engineer, Performed Complete tolerance analysis for whole chassis, overlook drawing creation, managed tooling process, traveled to supplier site (Shenzhen), review and approved FAI reports and samples on-site, managed all testing necessary. Designed supervisor, line and their daughter cards, worked closely with HW, Thermal and ECAD engineers on components. Designed numerous heatsinks with a different attachment mechanism.
