I am an experienced consultant, researcher and project manager with over twenty years’ experience in sustainable urban planning, policy and development. Specialist areas include sustainability standards, masterplanning, biodiversity and green infrastructure, health and inclusion. I am currently Project and Policy Manager with the TCPA, managing the Campaign for Healthy Homes and supporting the wider healthy placemaking work. I'm also visiting research associate at the University of Bristol, supporting the ‘Tackling the Root Causes Upstream of Unhealthy Urban Development’ (TRUUD) project.I've worked with UCL Bartlett School of Planning, reviewing healthy built environment and sustainability standards, and with the University of Reading and Building Research Establishment researching green infrastructure evaluation and the sustainable masterplan standard, BREEAM Communities. I published guidance regarding UK biodiversity planning requirements with the Royal Town Planning Institute. I am a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, RTPI associate member and a qualified ‘BREEAM Communities’ and ‘Building With Nature’ assessor.
