As a claims technician I problem-solved problems with active medical claims for insured members of Blue Cross Blue Shield. To do this, I needed technical expertise in various policies relating to benefits distribution for members , as well as a vast well of knowledge as to the proper procedure for the identification, trouble-shooting, and resolution of various issues related to claims processing.

Urbana-Champaign, Illinois Area

This student organization at the University of Illinois known as the Illinois Trial Team is a competitive academic team which focuses on arguing legal cases in a mock court setting. We met regularly to create comprehensive legal arguments. We did this by calling mock witnesses, conducting witness examinations, arguing objections, and giving statements to a mock jury. I served as President and Captain meaning I both administrated the entire program of 30 people and the arguments we created.

Urbana, Illinois

Served as the liaison between potential Illinois students and the University. Answered questions in 150+ person audiences, gave 2 hour long tours to groups of 20-30 people, and in the summer I served as a Registration Representative. During this time I helped incoming students and there parents register, acclimate to campus, and answered their questions about Illinois. This often required individual problem solving skills as we were given little supervision and support for the Admissions Office.

Cleaned and maintained the service area of a local branch of Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I worked independently often and had to often decide my own work that I should work on taking into account what was needed. I cleaned and maintained the hundreds of vehicles that belong to a single Enterprise branch's fleet as well as interacted with customers on a constant basis.

South Elgin, Il

Working with the Warehouse Manager and the Sales Team Manager I performed odd jobs throughout the facility. This included completely re-organizing the 14,000 square foot warehouse space, optimizing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, and worked on individual projects aimed at increasing the marketability of the business.
