I had the opportunity to give tours to large groups of parents, students, and other visitors at the University of Waterloo. Managing crowds and addressing a wide range of questions was both challenging and rewarding. I also participated in UWaterloo Day, where I took on a significant shift and interacted with nearly 1,000 people. These experiences enhanced my communication and crowd management skills, allowing me to connect with diverse audiences and share the unique aspects of our campus. It was fulfilling to contribute to the university community in this way and help prospective students and their families feel welcome.

As my first job with Campus Housing at the University of Waterloo, I had the privilege of giving regular tours to large groups of parents, students, and other visitors, often 2-3 times a week. This role allowed me to develop my skills in managing crowds, addressing diverse questions, and ensuring that each tour was informative and engaging.In addition to leading tours, I also had the opportunity to act in several promotional videos for Campus Housing. These experiences enhanced my public speaking and presentation skills, enabling me to effectively communicate the unique benefits of our housing options and campus life.Interacting with prospective students and their families not only deepened my connection to the university but also taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and professionalism. It was fulfilling to help visitors feel welcome and excited about UWaterloo, and I continue to apply these skills in all my professional endeavors.

My E Co-op term at the Conrad Grebel School of Entrepreneurship has been one of the most transformative experiences during my time at the University of Waterloo. It provided me with the invaluable opportunity to fully immerse myself in entrepreneurship under the guidance of highly skilled professionals. This term allowed me to build my entrepreneurial journey from the ground up, deepening my understanding of business fundamentals and startups through dedicated coursework.One of the highlights was attending the Tech TO travel event in Toronto, where I networked with a diverse group of innovators and entrepreneurs. The essence of E Co-op is to dedicate four months to an entrepreneurial venture, and I embraced this challenge with my co-founder, Jade, as we worked on evolving G12. Throughout the term, we diligently tracked our progress and submitted multiple reports. One of our key achievements was launching the new version of G12.I participated in the Velocity 5K Pitch Competition, reaching the semi-finals, and completed "The Mom Test," a book on customer validation. I also attended the ECO-OP BootCamp, learning from renowned entrepreneurs, and engaged with events like Communitech Open House, Socratica, and ZFellows.On the technical front, we made substantial upgrades to the G12 website, incorporating new features. I advanced my skills in React JS and Next JS. I got acquainted with numerous libraries. I mastered advanced CSS using Node preprocessors like SASS. I explored artificial intelligence using LangChains, LLMs, etc. We developed two AI models, one of which was submitted for a hackathon. Jado AI was the other model that was also presented at the Velocity 5k pitch. This used NLP and Deep Neural Networks. This term marked a significant leap in my technical capabilities.

I had the opportunity to create a comprehensive website for the WATisZine club at the University of Waterloo, a magazine club dedicated to releasing mini issues known as zines. The website centralizes all their zines and includes an admin dashboard for easy management and updates. It features dynamic content updates, animations, and smooth transitions, enhancing the user experience.The website is connected to Firebase for backend functionalities and hosted using cPanel. It includes secure authentication for the admin panel, allowing authorized users to update issues and manage website content seamlessly. I successfully developed a dynamic menu system for Vasanta Bhavan using React.js and Firebase, and deployed it on cPanel. This solution includes a robust admin panel with authentication, allowing administrators to easily update the menu, reorder items, and make necessary changes.The system ensures that the menu remains current and accessible to everyone, while the admin panel provides a secure and user-friendly interface for managing content. This deployment on cPanel offers a reliable hosting environment, ensuring smooth operation and accessibility.

I participated in the Velocity Cornerstone Program with my partners for G12, marking our initial dive into entrepreneurship. This program provided us with essential business fundamentals, including market research, business planning, and pitch preparation. It was an invaluable experience, offering hands-on learning and practical insights that helped us refine our business strategy.A highlight was the networking events, where we connected with industry professionals and seasoned entrepreneurs.
