I am second in command to the Director of Transportation, directly managing the Transit and Bikeways division of the Department, plus the Traffic and Airport divisions in the Director's absence. In addition to service contract management and development, I am responsible for budget development and fiscal oversight of these programs. I serve as Project Manager for transit-related studies and represent Schaumburg's transportation interests on numerous regional committees and as a panelist/speaking discussing associated programs.

This position is within the same organization and the job duties were similar to those as listed above as Transportation Manager, though as Transportation Manager, there has been a progression of responsibility and management that I didn't have as fully as Senior Transportation Planner.

Greater Chicago Area

I provided development, review, and implementation of capital investment planning programs and projects. I also worked on analysis of transit-commercial center development/redevelopment multi-use projects, and extensive computer-based preparation of reports. I tracked provision of service, which includes route network evaluation, and station usage statistics, to areas within Title VI parameters, managed interdepartmental coordination of the Project Evaluation Program which, using a rating system helped determine a project's inclusion/exclusion in CTA's Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan, and prepared Environmental Assessments for proposed projects requiring land acquisition.
