A graduate of the University of Kentucky, I worked for five years in Democratic Party politics across the country, eventually returning to Kentucky to serve as a Regional Field Director for the Kentucky Democratic Party coordinated campaign in 2010. In 2011, I left electoral politics to work as a union organizer with AFSCME in Louisville, KY. With AFSCME, I helped lead an organizing drive with workers at the Lexington Division of Waste Management, ultimately winning with over 80% of the vote.In 2014, I began a career with the National Conference of Firemen & Oilers, SEIU, 32BJ, where I remain today. In my current role, I've organized public and private sector workers, led membership and staff trainings, served as a legislative agent in Frankfort, overseen political candidate endorsements, and represented my union in countless media appearances. In addition to my organizing and political activities, I have represented my union as a board member of Jobs with Justice Kentucky Chapter, a delegate to the Greater Louisville Central Labor Council, and as a release staffer for the 2014 and 2015 AFL-CIO labor coordinated campaigns.I am passionate about helping workers and their organizations build power and fight back against the corporate assault on working people.
