Sales Director with overall Sales and Marketing responsibility for business areas including the Electricity Distribution and Transmission, Utility Arboriculture and Telecommunications industries.Development and maintenance of an extensive customer base that includes major accounts with all of the UK Distribution Network Operators (DNO's), National Grid and the Electricity Alliances and all of the major contractors working for these clients.Product Design and Development responsibility for new and innovative equipment, either by "in house" development and manufacture, or by sourcing of new products from within the UK, Europe, USA or worldwide.Responsibility for all customer aspects of Inspection services, that include LOLER lifting equipment inspections, fall arrest equipment inspections, ladder inspections and portable earthing equipment inspection, with a web based certification system.Responsibility for development and delivery of various Training services, including Pole Top Rescue (accepted by every DNO in the UK), Tower Rescue and Certified Climber, Permanent Attachment pole climbing techniques, and Harness Familiarisation courses, delivered on a national basis.Elected as a Core Group member of the Utility Arboriculture Group (UAG) in October 2012.

Recruited to develop a complementary overhead line rescouce to the vegetation management contract that the company was managing throughout the Lake District for Norweb based in Kendal, Cumbria.The role required the recruitment of Senior Authorised Engineers and Linesmen, along with the procurement correct equipment, and implementation of systems for inspection.

Responsible for the planning and safe delivery of up to 10km of complete overhead line rebuild per week, with the existing 11kV network being replaced with a covered BLX conductor around the Hampshire area for SSE.The unit comprised of a team of over 70 staff, and required the management of the complete construction project from the planning stages and wayleaves issues, through materials ordering and management, to pole erecting, generation of all domestic and commercial customers, and overhead line rebuild.

Employed by a specialist "Hot Glove" contractor in the same role as above, with responsibility for the same 11kV BLX Construction Unit, working in the Wiltshire and Dorset areas of SSE.The unit specialised in using the services of a "Hot Glove" team where possible to minimise customer disruptions during construction programmes.

Recruited into the Strategic Projects team of SSE based initially at New Forest prior to the construction phases of the 11kV BLX rebuild project, to assist with project resource development.The role then became site based from the initial pilot project, through a rolling programme that moved throughout the Somerset and Dorset areas of SSE.

Recruited initially to facilitate materials management, the role developed quickly to include wider aspects of commercial management and client liasion. Projects included11kV overhead line refurbishment in the Vale of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire for WPDABC, LV overhead and underground replacement in the Bournemouth area for SSE.
