I'm a hardware engineer with 9 years experience in the design, development and manufacturing of medical and consumer products. I have a strong track record of success both as a technical expert and in leading and managing engineering teams, delivering several innovative products to market on time and within budget. I'm a strong communicator and collaborator with a commitment to continuous learning. I started my career as a consultant, working on a huge range of projects from drug delivery devices to musical instrument accessories and new ways of making a cup of tea and developing innovations that led to several patents. Now at Carv I'm responsible for management of our multi-disciplinary hardware team as we try to reinvent the way skiing is taught. We've launched three new product iterations, reducing costs and improving reliability and user experience with each one: most recently, we cut costs by 10% while improving reliability by 50%. Each time, I've been responsible for up-front design and development all the way through to testing, validation, manufacturing in our facilities in China and the far East, and launch to our userbase. I'm driven to solve complex engineering challenges in a way that fits business needs.
