Part of a team of project managers reporting to executive engineering manager. Fully responsible for allocated projects from quoting stage to delivery, involving DFM / CAD / tooling, sampling & sign off, production of castings & any machining / assembly required. Mainly supporting prototype (R&D for large OEM’s around the globe) & motorsport foundries but also supporting niche market foundries. Predominantly the components produced are engine blocks, heads & associated cast parts but also involved in a wide range of other markets & components. Required to feedback in planning & NPI meetings involving Directors. In addition I am involved in marketing & new customer development via visits & exhibitions, development of internal management systems.

Responsible for sales activities for new and existing customers. Required to develop relationships, secure contracts and identify new opportunities. Also provide technical / quality assistance to customers. Project manage new enquiries, distribute them to relevant suppliers (toolmakers / machinist’s) and also assist on technical level. Provide appropriate timing plans to customers / suppliers if required. Assist in budget activities. Also involved in NPI activities. Report on a monthly basis to company board on current activities.Customers included large OEM’s from around the globe, Tier 1’s to small engineering firms.Products / Markets include:•Turbochargers•Braking•Powertrain (Engine blocks & heads)•Power Generation – Diesel engines•Oil Pans•Heat Exchangers•Transmission Components
