Established individualised researcher’s performance statistics and tied this to funding mechanisms. Outcome - significantly improved human resource management, instilled an element of competition, and improved the accuracy and equitable distribution of funding based on performance. Residual effect – underpinning data was reconstituted to create promotional material to attract new business.
