Consulted on Systems Integration Projects as an adviser on Knowledge and Change Management. Liaised with Research Centres in Palo Alto and Grenoble to exploit Xerox's Thought leadership in KM.

After Winning the European Quality Award Xerox Change Management Services were sold to corporate clients. A pan European training organization was established to license courses such as leader as coach, facilitation skills, basic and advanced TQM . Complex Change and OD projects for leading multinationals, were undertaken occasionally starting at grass roots then after pilot success deployed worldwide or at other times driven by the main board. During this time a high profile three year project with the Hong Kong Productivity Council was completed.HKPC were licenced to use Xerox Change programme as western management techniques and culture change practices were 'exported' to Communist China. Another client at that time was the Shangri-la luxury hotel groupWorking with the 'world class companies' in Europe at that time. conducted numerous organization assessments of European Quality Award applicants including many early winners

After quantifying the business case for applying for the inaugural Quality Award I recruited and redeployed a team of 20 assignees to spearhead Rank Xerox's successful application for the 1992 European Quality Award. As an internal consultant I designed with US support, co developed, and co deployed the Business Excellence Process . This became the Xerox Management Model and the Xerox US, Latin American and European leadership teams were trained by myself. Other responsibilities included benchmarking and identification and exporting of internal best practices, written up by Insead and Fortune (Tom Stewart) and featured in the HBR.

This was an HR Partner role in the Emerging Markets before, during, and after the downfall of Communism. I was responsible for pioneering succession planning and recruitment campaign for expatriate & bilingual GM’s in Six Eastern European Countries. In leading the educational & culture change process for Eastern Europe. I was responsible for the developing the early Sales Training methodology. I also liaised with Corporate training & managed external providers in providing leadership training for Modi Xerox one of the first international Joint Ventures in India There HR support in recruitment, reduced attrition levels by 40 per cent and management development supported the pre-eminence of Modi Xerox as they captured 35 % market share and their alumni kick started the technology industry in India Other territories covered included Nigeria, Kenya, and Pakistan .

A foundation Personnel Management and Sales Training role and a first hand exposure to the sales environment. On assignment from the Training Centre I piloted & validated the then revolutionary OPQ developed by Saville & Holdsworth. At the same time responsible for sales induction and training working with the Sales Management team we developed a 'best practice' Selection/coaching System, reducing Sales turnover from 45% to 15%, and later adapted and exported to Egypt and India.It was here in recruiting a rugby team I experienced first hand why sports and rugby is good for business
