In 2007, Eastman Kodak sold the Kodak Health Group to Onex Corporation; Kodak Health Group was renamed as Carestream Health, and Kodak Dental Systems was renamed as Carestream Dental.• Responsible for the R&D budget (25 people) including analysis, monitoring, and reporting to the VP of R&D.• Managed software licenses for the R&D department (approximately 30 licensed tools and products).• Analyzed the existing databases of the company's four premier practice management applications to create a unified database schema that served as the basis for the database of the new global NextGen database.• Effective management of the developers in the Vancouver, BC office for the company’s imaging development needs (projects included PW DICOM, Trophy Cosmetic, Trophy Slideshow, Thumbnail Viewer, and the Image Presenter and Image Database Manager modules).• Coordinated the entire development department’s interactions with the R&D group of our Trophy France team.• Recruited and managed several .NET developers and architects for the creation of the NextGen Core architecture.• Managed the .NET teams that used the initial version of the core architecture for a pilot project, and co-managed two .NET development teams who used the refined core architecture to create modules for the next generation application.• Conducted an exhaustive project retrospective (post-mortem analysis).

After exponential growth through the acquisition of dozens more small companies, InfoCure spun off its dental division to form PracticeWorks.• Took over the development of several different dental practice management system applications as the company acquired over a dozen smaller companies and consolidated resources. • This required the ability to pick up diverse languages, database systems, and platforms (MS Access 97 with VBA; VB 4.0 and proprietary database; PowerBuilder; Borland Pascal; Delphi; and Code Warrior on Apple Macintosh OS X).

InfoCure was formed in July 1997 upon the acquisition of KComp Systems and five other medical software development companies.• After a period of attrition, I was once again the sole developer for the KComp dental practice management application, and brought the product to maturity, successfully adding comprehensive new features and maintaining the entire code base.• Wrapped up the KComp application by conducting a Y2K retrofit that was delivered on time and without any defects encountered by our customers.
