Instructing and assessing Student Police Officers during their initial training. Training is 22 weeks long and is for both DHEP and PCDA officers. The role involves teaching of law, assessing practical application of policing skills and legal knowledge, and assessing written skills/competence.

Worked within the Learning and Development department to manage the company’s 160 apprentices. Dealt with the apprentices’ work and college based education, reviews, welfare and disciplinary matters. Recruited new apprentices by means of a structured application process. Attended recruitment events throughout the southwest area in order to promote the Company’s apprenticeship schemes. Liaised with educational establishments to provide the best quality training for the apprentices. Facilitated the requirements for apprentices to complete End Point Assessments, as well as working with assessors to produce relevant EPA requirements.
