I serve as Co-Chairman of the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust (Trust) and Chairman of the 13 member Employer Trust Caucus. I have served on this Trust since 1996. The Trust is the largest multiemployer defined benefit pension trust in the United States with more than 1,400 contributing employers and over 37 billion dollars in assets.My background in human resources and labor relations spans over 40 years with particular emphasis in arbitration work and the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with various international unions. I have represented employers while working with the Hawaii Employers Council, Stauffer Chemical Company, RMC Pacific Materials and CEMEX, Inc.When I graduated from the University of Hawaii I also received a Regular Army commission having participated in the Army ROTC Program. I served on active duty with various assignments and was released from active duty after my last assignment with the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii.
