What it says on my resume: An experienced Software Developer that does whatever it takes to resolve problems and leave both the company and the customer satisfied. Practiced in application design, development in many languages, problem troubleshooting, device driver development and reverse engineering. A problem solver that enjoys a challenge. Excellent communication skills.Expressed more normally, I specialize in debugging and optimizing software. That software has largely been written in C++ and run on Windows, but I have worked on a variety of operating systems and in a number of languages. Anything from device drivers, to client/server applications, to MFC/Forms applications. I have also done some C#/WPF applications recently.Off the payroll, I have done a number of other computer-related projects, including the following: (1) Disassembled and documented Microsoft BASIC for the Radio Shack TRS-80 Model III, and also the disk operating system for the same. (2) Wrote a WYSIWYG word processor. (3) Wrote my own network traffic decoder for home use when my kids were teenagers. It was able to extract almost all non-encrypted content from that traffic. My then teenage kids were not amused.Currently, my main hobby involves languages. My native language is English, but I am also fluent in Spanish. I have been studying the Japanese language since 2008 and know just enough to be dangerous (to myself) in Polish, Italian and Portuguese.
