• Manage the day-to-day operations of the district and provide daily support to managers ensuring quality and budget performance. Over 84 employees within my district.• Monitor budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures, and performance.• Execute the market’s strategic capital budget, ensuring effective use of the budget through asset allocation; ensure appropriate spare ratios and asset disposal.• Execute precautions to ensure safety and compliance with company, Federal Motor Carrier, OSHA, and other local standards and regulations.• Ensure thorough root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining.• Oversee personnel needs including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating performance. Decision maker on all terminations, compensation, issues and promotion decisions.• Participate in regular P&L reviews to ensure that budgets are met; develop and implement programs for optimal equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and labor and material costs.• Interact with local city, municipal, and county agencies to ensure customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, renew contracts and negotiate new contracts; establishes Waste Management as a good corporate citizen and valued resource.• Minimize the total number of suppliers used by working with supplier partners to eliminate/reduce the number of one-time suppliers.• Work with functional groups to resolve employee relations and labor relations issues.

• Partner with Managers to analyze Productivity performance, develop and implement continuous improvement plans.• Partner with others (Pricing, Sales etc.) to analyze route & customer profitability, coordinating appropriate corrective actions.• Validate budget planning information; analyzing year-to-date data versus prior year and budget.• Review routing with Route Managers and/or Route Auditors, proactively flexing labor with anticipated +/- volume fluctuations.• Support Standard Operating Procedures for data collection, routing, and dispatching processes.
