Currently Mr. Schultz is the Chief Executive Officer for Precision Healthcare Delivery. The company provides a wide array of value added services for physician networks, employers, insurers and other healthcare organizations.Mr. Schultz was Project Manager for the implementation of the Kentucky Opioid Response Effort (KORE) that is focusing on enhancing MAT and other services in the primary care setting. The project will be working with the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and the Kentucky Department of Behavioral Health Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. He was the Vice President for Health Services at Aetna Better Health of Kentucky since October of 2014. He was responsible for the case management and utilization review areas and assisted with the 1115 Waiver implementation. At the Kentucky Health Cooperative he was responsible for the overall clinical care, pharmacy benefit and the quality management processes for the health plan. As a start up cooperative he has coordinated a successful NCQA Interim accreditation determination as well as spearheading the peer review agent application with the state DOI. He was also the Senior Advisor for Retiree Health Care of Kentucky Retirement Systems for over six years. He was responsible for the overall management of the health plans offered to the systems 40,000 Medicare Eligible retired members. Mr. Schultz's healthcare experience spans over 35 years, He was asked in 1994 to establish a case management department at Central Baptist and coordinate those functions with pre-admission services at the hospital. In 1996 he left the clinical environment to work for a managed care organization founded by the Lexington Clinic. Mr. Schultz holds Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa, and received his Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Nebraska. He also received a Masters degree in Health Administration from the University of Kentucky.
