Working for the Department of Safety and Homeland Security, I manage and mentor a team of five software developers who are responsible to interface and work with an outside vendor in support of the the Driver Services division. Responsible include scheduling and setting deadlines, code reviews, time/attendance, evaluations and hiring/firing. I report to the Executive IT Director for the business divisions and assist with other IT-related functions to accomplish established goals and to meet project deadlines and requirements.

My duties are designing new applications, utilizing the latest technologies to increase efficiency. My more recent projects are remote system which use iPad with fillable PDF forms to gather data in both a connected and dis-connected environment, with final data being uploaded to a SQL Server data warehouse. I also am in charge of several public-facing web applications (C#.Net with SQL Server back-end) that present data and accept payments from the general public. The rest of my time is spent in creating in-house web apps as well as desktop applications.
