I have 25+ yrs of experience in the Clinical Laboratory environment, and in '97 I transitioned over to the Healthcare Informaton Technology realm. This move has allowed me to utilize and leverage my vast experience in the healthcare field to develop and maintain sofware applications, and in the mining of this data for output to reports, interfaces, etc. It is amazing how technology has impacted the healthcare field, both in terms of instrumentation as well as information documentation and the sharing of this information with those who can benefit the most...the patient caregivers. The net result is, that I feel that what I do really makes a difference on the bottom line, improving patient outcomes.Specialties: Excellent skills in Report Writing, using either proprietary tools as well as SSRS in MSSQL and Crystal Reports. Extensive experience in database mining and dealing with data repositories. Skilled in many software applications, MSExcel, MSAccess, Lotus (Domino & Notes), Database productivity tools, etc.

As a Programmer / Analyst at IHIE, I've been responsible for analysing data from many sources...Insurance Payers, Healthcare facilities, Physician practices as well as many Industry and Business sources. I've developed procedures to scrub and import this data into various database formats. I've created SSIS solutions to transform and import the data into MSSQL. I've also written many Stored Procedures within SQL to take this data and convert it into HL7 data messages which have been used to populate the INPC database at the Regenstrief Institute. I am also involved with the Mapping of Healthcare facility Interfaces to the INPC database at RI.
