My name is Ricky James, a Management major specializing in Leadership and Applied Management at Florida Atlantic University with an aspiring career goal of becoming a Project Manager. With this career goal in mind I am willing to offer insightful ideas and execute upon them. I am willing to undergo projects that can contribute towards the success of the company. When I read the job requirements as a Project Manager I strongly believe it is a reflection of me. From carrying out strategic plans to facilitating collective decisions, it makes me excited to believe my chosen career path is within my near future. Currently my goal is to establish my repertoire within my work setting and on campus life by making impactful decisions that can impact everyone in a positive way. Through these experiences I will become a well rounded individual and effectively showcase skills in the industry that I have to offer. So far in the Management field most of my experience comes from my current job, such as day to day operations of a storage facility. From my previous jobs I've learned how to create a Google Listing Page and effective conflict resolution techniques that I still utilize presently. Currently employers seek out employees that are multifaceted possessing an array of technical skills. As an Assistant Manager at Sunshine Self Storage, I have created google drive templates, facilitated conflict resolution strategies, and rented units above market value. The google drive template not only created value for me but my colleagues as well because we were able to update our leads simultaneously through collaborative efforts. Conflict resolution strategies are always important when it comes to customer oriented businesses. There are certain things that may make a customer upset but it is up to me as an individual to diffuse the situation. When it comes to renting units above market value by 20%. I find that it is purely about how I convey the message to the prospective client, a skill I am continually learning and improving through different customer interactions.I would first like to thank you for taking your time to read this.
