Oversee all aspects of annual statewide water use reporting and fees as required by Great Lakes Compact. Manage and respond to all public inquiries for water use, Great lakes Compact, high capacity and dewatering wells. Administer high capacity well and dewatering application intake procedures. Analyze hydrogeologist workloads and direct work planning to meet stakeholder needs. Review high capacity and dewatering wells for impacts and approve or recommend changes to mitigate impacts. Assist with Great Lakes Compact policy development and analysis.

Directed the completion of commitments for the USGS water use data and research improvement cooperation agreement, including planning and supervising the first ever Wisconsin water use data symposium. Developed a collaborative water use data work plan with federal and state partners, prioritized water use resources to maximize efficiency and provide useful data to stakeholders. Assisted with the Great Lakes Compact Waukesha diversion application regional review process. Refined annual water use reports and withdrawal summaries by building new Access, Excel and Arcmap tools for efficient report creation and response to public information requests.

Created CLEAR framework to build a strategic plan that will achieve Sweet Water’s mission of restoring the Greater Milwaukee watersheds. Provided training for the organization’s staff and board of directors to use the planning framework. Successful implementation of the framework will allow the organization to bring together diverse partners and build the leadership and innovation necessary to protect and restore the regions water resources.

Drove the development of MMSD’s two budgets for 2016: the operation & maintenance budget and the capital budget. Analyzed budget requests, forecasted expenditures, and recommended cuts to close the budget gap. Led the economic development and community outreach focus areas for the 2016-2018 strategic plan. Proactively created and trained staff on a tracking and analysis tool for green infrastructure programs. Revised budget and strategic plan documents to meet Government Financial Officers Association standards.
