Business Reporting Analyst
System & Reporting Analyst
• Creating & improving reporting across Customer & Commercial Department, within the complex regulatory and commercial environments in which Jemena operates. Achieved through requirements gathering and elicitation, design, analysis, development, testing, and feedback, to create bespoke reporting dashboards. These reports support the Management Team by delivering high quality, informative reports and analytics across all areas of Customer Operations, to enable agile, data driven decision making. This highly detailed data has allowed the Jemena Gas Disconnection Squad to focus on areas where a greater return on effort will be achieved, such as particular market segments or unsuccessful disconnection reasons, which is resulting in lifting the overall Disconnection success rate.• Created & developed the reporting structure & practises for the Operations Improvement Squad across the gas meter tracking areas. Developed all reporting to monitor & analyse the performance of the Squad, extracting & managing the data from SAP ERP, Hana, and Business Objects, and utilising data visualisation and trend analysis. This was achieved primarily in MS Excel, & I am preparing the reporting for migration to MS Power BI.• Introduced improvements & included automation to allow reporting to be completed more efficiently. The Disconnection Reporting took more than two days each month to complete when first created, but this is now completed in under two hours. The Disconnection data has been developed as a single source to be shared across the Disconnection Performance, Segmentation, and Retailer reporting areas.• Worked with the Commercial Strategy team in closing out an issue with a Retailer for the Watchman Security Lighting. Built and presented a model to breakdown the O&M & Usage costs as per their requirements, and provided documentation and details to support the discussions. These items were essential in this agreement being reached, which was a big risk to Jemena.
Data Analyst
• A short term contract to analyse the outcomes of the project to reduce the incidence of estimated gas meter reads for all customers on Jemena's gas networks in NSW & ACT. • Data analysis in Excel, Business Objects, and SAP of meter read results, liaising with external customer service teams and meter read service providers, and reporting on results to senior management, the project steering committee, and retailers.
Client Consultant
• Engage with our client’s stakeholders to conduct in-depth analysis and assessment on their products and packaging, gather information, and present reports on results.• Developed sustainability reporting, documentation, and processes utilised by the management team.
Business Analyst
• Developed flexible and easy to use Contract Compliance documentation and processes to be utilised by the management team to track deliverables. • Hired by the National Account Director to identify unknown areas of risk to Datacom across twelve high profile clients. This was required as responsible staff have moved across different contracts or have left the business.• The new documentation and process is to be utilised for each new Contract and Statement of Work going forward, to make information clear and consistent across all contracts.

One alteration to the agreements resulted in saving of up to $10K per month.• Implementing and finessing a short-term invoice management tool based in SharePoint and implementing business processes and documentation to ensure timely payment to sub-contractor workforce. This short-term tool is still in use today.• Presenting a daily briefing of the Performance Centre to office and field-based staff, to provide an understanding of the service KPI’s daily results from Tableau, promote communication through the team to share knowledge, build teamwork and improve performance.

This report takes 500,000 lines of data & provides a view of costs against target for an individual unit of work, for all work completed under the contract. This report is paramount in the performance in the Cost Incentive of the contract, which is the basis of the Target Reset and Term Extension negotiations at the end of each contract year. I developed a new version of this report when our client introduced a new finance system (SAP). • Comprehension of the Service Contracts with AusNet Services and the Collaborative Contracting Principles under which they operate. This enabled an understanding of the commercial drivers of the contracts and allowed me to define my own plans within the larger business strategy. • Used knowledge to influence the senior management team that Downer had achieved targets that the client believed had not been met under the terms of the contract. This lead to awarding Downer a contract extension with AusNet Services.• Successful negotiation with the client in the removal of Normal and Overtime Unit Rates & move to blended rates for units of work. This had been a sticking point between the Contract Managers & the Client. I was able to demonstrate why our method to set rates achieved a fair outcome.
