By increasing plan allowed amounts or negotiating a rate on an out-of-network claim patient responsibility is often times reduced dramatically; while simultaneously increasing payment directly form the insurance plan to the ASC client. Also responsible for writing appeals for various denial types that cite ERISA and any relevant state and federal court rulings as well as any other supporting documentation such as summary plan descriptions (SPDs), history and physical (H&P), implant logs, and invoices.
