In addition, I have litigated cases involving trademark and trade secret issues relating to the use and ownership of proprietary inventions in diverse industries and also represent title insurance companies in matters relating to coverage disputes, insurance bad faith, escrow negligence and fraud.My clients include lending institutions, manufacturers, telecommunication and tech companies as well as commercial and residential landlords and professional partnerships.I am a past president of the Contra Costa County Bar Association. In addition, I have served as the chair of its diversity committee since 2002. I am a past president of the Women’s Section of the Bar Association as well as a past chair of the State Bar of California’s Committee on Women in the Law. For the past several years, I have been a member of the American Inns of Court. For 16 years I served as a board member of the Family Support Services of the Bay Area, a private non-profit organization that provides support to parents and other caregivers of vulnerable and special needs children in order to keep their families intact. Finally, I am the immediate past president of the Black Women Lawyers of Northern California and a member of the board of directors's of The National Kidney Foundation of Northern California.I graduated from the University of Virginia (B.A.) and Boston College Law School. At Boston College, I was a member of the National Moot Court Team and received the William J. O’Keefe Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Law School.
