Worked as lead systems engineer on the Aircrew Crisis Task Force Pilot Insight Study providing expertise, research and strategic recommendations on addressing the USAF's pilot shortage. Responsibilities and work undertaken included: • Created a system model for current pilot career lifecycle including critical junctures and choke points• Utilized business process analysis to design an idealized iteration of the pilot lifecycle and drafted strategic policy recommendations to improve cross-functionality, efficacy, incorporate future technology, and mitigate bottlenecking.• Research and wrote white papers addressing USAF technical competence, future technology, recruitment, culture, and diversity. Presented findings to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences. • Carried out research on best practices across related industries, military branches, and civil aviation. • Undertook a robust analysis of USAF climate and culture via comprehensive interview protocol for USAF pilots.

Served as the lead for QA document management, program manager for project close out, and principle auditor (ISO 8000, 9000) for a transport infrastructure design build project in Hawaii valued at $1.1b USD. Responsibilities, accomplishments, and work undertaken included: • Designed, initiated, and drove the project verification and closeout lifecycles, working with internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate contractual and regulatory compliance and facilitate handover of final product to the client.• Transformed the audit program to be more robust and comprehensive, tripling audit frequency and obtaining a 60% decrease in non-conformance events over three years by proactively partnering with different departments and individual teams.• Audited and implemented changes to the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and reviewed QMPs for subcontractors.• Set priorities for QA document control staff, ensuring work was completed to scope and deadlines were met. • Assisted in oversight, review, and work being undertaken by the QA/QC Laboratory to include: resistivity testing, compressive/tensile/shear strength testing, nuclear density testing, compaction testing, air/slump testing, etc.• Oversee the records management process for approximately 100k quality records. • Review project specifications and requirements and work cross-functionally with production teams to ensure that work was being done to spec and accurately/sufficiently documented to ensure project closeout and verification could be completed on time.

Served as in-house consultant to the Chief of Engineering of a multinational corporation on technical competency and compliance as well as organizational development and systems process management. Responsibilities, achievements and work undertaken included: • Built a Technical Competency and Compliance Management Plan and integrated it across multiple business divisions. The plan has since been held up as industry best practice.• Worked with a cross-functional team of department heads to restructure the company’s engineering function into a matrix organization. Managed workflows and project requirements across departments without direct reporting lines. • Transformed a failing compliance culture leading to a 200% reduction in non-conformance findings over five years.• Oversaw auditing (ISO 8000,9000,15288). Prepared for and represented company in client audits and served as an auditor on internal audits and external audits of subcontractors and partner organizations.• Managed £400k p.a. budget, recovered £150k p.a. in disallowed costs, and saved £250k in training costs over 5 years.• Localized and managed a global graduate development program geared towards ensuring new graduates attained Chartered Engineer (US: Professional Engineer certification). Recruited engineering grads for and served as line manager for approximately 15+ graduates during their first two years in the program.• Initiated the transition from hardcopy record keeping to digital management in an ERP.

Interned for two summers at the Air Force Senior Leader Management Office during my last two years of college. Upon graduating I was hired on full time and worked as a junior staffer on the USAF Leadership Development Model, where we focused on organizational development efforts to develop programs, processes, and strategies to ensure future senior leadership developed the necessary leadership, functional, and technical skills that would be required of them to successfully lead the USAF. Responsibilities, achievements, and work undertaken included:• Served as project lead process to move all survey/feedback data and analysis tools to cloud based storage and software programs.• Responsible for undertaking data analysis and building visualizations of findings. • Designed and implemented the USAF General Officer appraisal program which focused on providing career feedback to senior leadership prior to promotion boards.• Worked with multiple teams to develop content to address future USAF organizational and technical competency requirements. • Oversaw the standardization of all post course evaluations for courses attended by 10k AF senior leaders.
