Began service as a squadron Aerospace Education Officer and Cadet Programs Officer, supervising the training and progress of the squadrons cadet roster. In April 2004 I assumed the role of the Squadron Commander overseeing all aspects of the daily functions of the unit in the areas of Cadet Programs, Aerospace Education and Emergency Services. Managed the monthly usage and reporting requirements of the squadrons assigned aircraft and equipment. Encouraged other members to pursue advanced levels of training and certifications so the squadron would be more prepared as a team to respond to emergency situations. Completed several cadet orientation flights for both CAP and AFROTC cadets. Participated in both aerial and ground searches for lost aircraft and active EPIRBS.
