I'm working with a local philanthropist to improve homelessness in San Francisco by supporting the creation of new homelessness initiatives and by strengthening existing ones. It's really fun and interesting work, where I get to be a philanthropic consultant, a pro-bono organizational development consultant, a researcher, an advocate, and a strategic thinker and planner. I'm working in partnership with a number of incredible organizations and individuals to make sure that the best services, people, and ideas get the support they need to thrive.

I received an Echoing Green Fellowship to cofound At The Crossroads, and have been an active and proud member of the EG community ever since.

I handed out samples of the best fruit you will ever eat. Our stone fruit, Asian pears, and white pomegranate were particularly compelling. I was recruited into the family business by a kooky woman who thought she was my mother, and told me I had a responsibility to help the family.

Awarded Echoing Green fellowship to create and develop organization that focused on reaching disconnected unhoused young people on the streets of San Francisco, and developing long-term, unconditional relationships with them. We prioritized youth who had got thrown out of other programs or never set foot in them, and we never kicked a single person out of our program. We helped youth identify and achieve all of their goals through a holistic, client-centered model. ATC focused on walking the streets at night time to reach youth where they are at, and providing them with individualized, non-clinical counseling. Every young person got to tell us what they wanted, and how they wanted to work with us, and we shaped our support around that. I had the privilege to work with thousands of young people, and hundreds in in-depth counseling relationships. Other responsibilities included building our organizational structure and policies, hiring and supervising staff, developing a volunteer program, and creating and managing a board of directors. I worked hard to advocate for systemic change for transitional-age youth with City and State Government. I oversaw the process of raising a $1,600,000, 100% privately-funded budget, which included developing an innovative fundraising model called the I Think I Can Campaign.
