I execute a technical leadership role within the diverse Nuclear Safety Analysis and Support Department at Bruce Power. I support the development and ongoing maintenance of station Probabilistic Safety Assessment models, including internal and external events for both the at-power and outage states. I am recognized as an advocate for risk insights within and outside of Bruce Power. I work across traditional lines of the business to provide risk insights to deterministic safety analysis, refurbishment and medical isotope programs.I hold leadership roles within the CANDU Owner's Group programs for research and development and Industry Standard Toolsets and facilitate manage budgets and project priorities for these programs which support the Canadian nuclear industry. I frequently represent Bruce Power in regulatory discussion with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, most recently in achieving compliance with the REGDOC-2.4.2 for Probabilistic Safety Assessment (2019). I represent Bruce Power in the development of domestic nuclear standards for Probabilistic Safety Assessment and Risk Informed Inspection practices at the Canadian Standards Association. I provide technical support and representation on behalf of both Bruce Power and the greater Canadian nuclear industry as part of the CANDU PSA Working Group at the IAEA and attend technical conferences within the same, as well as those pertaining to severe accidents and emergency preparedness.

Supported the Nuclear Safety Analysis Department at Bruce Power in the fields of probabilistic safety analysis (PSA) and the analysis of severe accidents. Extensive experience in PSA model development, severe accident analysis, hazard analysis, preparation of regulatory strategies and submissions, risk assessment and mitigation.Technical Support to the IAEA Operational Safety Review Team (OSART) review performed at Bruce Power in 2015.

I supported the operation of the National Research Universal (NRU) research reactor at Chalk River national laboratories as part of the Controls section. Specifically, I managed an update of the Trips and Alarm program to modernize the approach to safety system testing of the nuclear unit. I developed and executed design changes to the reactor to bring it into alignment with modern practices and manage the obsolescence of dated equipment.
