Accountable for the safe and efficient operations of the Yorkshire & North East Regional Operations Centre, ensuring that we keep the National Highways Strategic Road Network flowing across the YNE region.Strategic planning and successful execution of the YNE Regional Operations Centre business plan.Successful delivery of the agreed National highways kpi suite (agreed with the Department for Transport and regulated by the Office of Rail and Road (ORR)).Key stakeholder management with regional emergency services and local authorities.Direct reporting structure of six Operations Managers and overall responsibility of sixty members of staff including twelve managers.

Reporting directly to the Regional Director, I am accountable for the Yorkshire and Humberside regions on-road services and the Highways Inspectorate (14 direct report managers, overall circa 120 staff). Key focus on strategic planning and operational management of on-road services and accountability for the Traffic Officer and Highways Inspectorate teams within my region. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders; the emergency services, local authorities and M&R contractors to ensure that all parties are focused on the common aim of providing high quality services on a 24/7 basis.

Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director until the Site General Manager joined in January 2018, I was accountable for the Markham Vale 2 site for the first five months of operations.Major stakeholder role in the Project team opening a Greenfield site.Recruitment of the site team to allow us to become fully operational, including the majority of the Senior team.Generation and implementation of the site operational processes and safe systems of working.Fully accountable for the operational delivery of the first customer contract on site. • Site headcount of circa 225 at peak operating levels.• Operational and Financial accountability (£7.5 m budget) for site (105,000 pallet capacity).• Extensive ongoing Project management seeing the site through from ramp-up to fully operational phase. • Site operational accountability for multi contract site operations, including a bulk, case pick, rework and parcel pick and ship operation (three contracts in place and a fourth imminent). • Site working towards gaining various ISO and BRC accreditations.• Implementation of agreed Customer Contract requirements including all Health & Safety and Quality requirements, service level achievement, achieving business kpi's, conducting daily and periodic Commercial Business Review meetings / calls with each customer.• Leading the implementation and continuous improvement agendas.• Team recruitment, development and future succession planning.

Reporting directly to the Site Director, accountable for the Northern region Distribution operation.• Distribution headcount of circa 250 at peak activity.• Operational and Financial accountability for Wakefield Distribution and a Third Party Logistics warehouse (60,000 pallet capacity in region) with an annual throughput of 4.2m pallets. Hybrid mix of automated and conventional warehouses.• Case Pick operation with an annual throughput of 7.5m cases.• Project management. • Leading change and continuous improvement agendas.• Team development and future succession planning.

Reporting directly to the Distribution Senior Manager I was accountable for cost effective running of the Bulk and Case-Pick Warehouses and the Transport department at Wakefield along with our Satellite Outbase sites at Warrington and Newcastle. Also accountable for a 12k pallet 3PL warehouse facility we utilised all year round.
