In life, change is inevitable. In business, change is vital – Warren Bennis.It’s also about the decisions we make when facing change. Instead of emigrating at 16, I chose to look after my father. I was supposed to study creative writing, but worked at a R&D site to pay the bills. Roles like Project Manager, became Programme Manager, became Head of Programmes and Business Integration Manager. I was to be Head of Communications, but decided to pursue writing, while volunteering as a teaching assistant to help our youngest, and other neurodivergent children like her – the most rewarding role - teaching me a lot more than I could ever teach those amazing kids.I won New Travel Writer of the Year (British Guild of Travel Writers), and was shortlisted for the Bath Children’s Novel Award. I’ve always loved communication in all its guises.It’s time to take my new capabilities and understanding, with my existing expertise, into the world of Change, Transformation and Programme Management.Change brings opportunity and resistance.
