It's been my pleasure to work in the Pearland, Copperfield, Lubbock, Harlingen and Beaumont facilities in the past few months. The staff are experienced and compassionate, and the care they provide is phenomenal.

The goal of the Longview Neighbors Emergency Center is to provide exceptional emergency room care. Every emergency can be treated here, at a location convenient to many Longview area residents and with a level of customer service that is unparalleled.

Although I have just begun this part-time locum tenens assignment, I have been delighted with the staff and patients in Richfield, UT. I truly look forward to working there again.

Providing weekly wound care consultation and management for more than 20 long-term care facilities in East Texas was a pleasure. And working with administrators, nursing directors, and wound care nurses to help residents heal was a privilege. Chronic wounds are by nature complex--complicated by numerous co-morbid conditions and factors, yet we routinely healed and resolved these wounds with a team approach.

The Emergency Care Center sees 20,000+ patients per year and is staffed by one physician 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, along with an assistant provider (NP or PA) for 12 hours each day. Patients of all ages are treated from newborn to elderly. Medical presentations span a huge range of cardiac, traumatic, respiratory, neurologic, infectious, orthopedic/musculoskeletal, obstetric/gynecologic, psychiatric, ophthalmic, and metabolic complaints. Laceration repair, Abscess Incision and Drainage, Toenail Removal, Bone Splinting, Asthma/Croup management, Acute Cardiac Care, Kidney Stones, as well as overdoses are all regularly treated in this facility.
