Assigned to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Tennessee Computing Center (TCC) on the Service Center Mainframe Consolidation (SCMC) project. SCMC provides for the consolidation of Unisys and IBM mainframe platforms from ten IRS Service Centers into two Computing Centers equipped with modern IBM and Unisys CMOS technology. The solution includes the conversion of a security application running under the IBM Transaction Processing Facility operating system as well as the migration of over 17,000 user terminals to Windows NT 4.0, Pentium-based workstations.I consolidated IRS data systems to the Unisys 4800. Ensured that all the software and databases were captured from 5 Service Centers around the country then transported and relocated that data onto the new Unisys 4800 systems at the Computing Centers. This process was very time sensitive and had to be accomplished within a 48 hour period. Also I ensured that all tapes required to support the daily operations of the IRS were transported to the new location. That included approximately 300 tapes for the Unisys system.

Once the conversion process was completed, evaluated all records in the database to ensure the accuracy of the conversion programs (this was especially critical for the Year 2000 conversion). Provided analysis of requirements, wrote system specifications, test software, and answered field calls as required.In the functional area and in software development processes, supported the Andersen Consulting team with the integration of Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). Also supported activities to include lifecycle documentation management and file management. Duties also included preparing for meetings with LGM, documenting meeting minutes, tracking action items, and tracking suspense’s. Additional duties included supporting SSG/LGM by entering information into the HQ SSG Management Information System (MIS); this included entering schedule data, project data, metrics data, and other data requested by the AIS manager.

Also responsible for providing an Operational Concept Document for the Dual Version Automated Data Systems (DVAC) to be implemented in the Defense MegaCenters throughout the Department of Defense. This process allows two versions of application software to reside on system at the same time and gives the user the capability to select the version required. United States Air Force Operational Test and Evaluations Center (AFOTEC)Senior Analysis responsible for providing technical support to AFOTEC. Conducted functionality comparison between the current Air Force automated maintenance data collection systems and the logistics system provided by the Dynamics Research Corporation.
