Hunter Army Airfield

Flight Platoon Leader for a Heavy Assault MH-47G Company in the Army’s only Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Advised the Commander on all aspects of unit training, readiness, health, welfare, morale, and discipline. Organized, coordinated, synchronized, and supervised all training and operations to include rotary-wing support to various Department of Defense agencies and Special Operations forces in response to worldwide contingencies. Responsible for the combat readiness, training, discipline, morale, and welfare of 24 Soldiers and aviators. Responsible for the maintenance and readiness of four specially equipped MH-47G helicopters and equipment valued in excess of $260 million. Planned, coordinated, and executed Special Operations Aviation missions in support of the regional war fighting Commanders, Special Forces Groups, the 7th Ranger Regiment, and Navy SEAL Teams in desert, mountain, arctic, over-water, and urban environments to arrive on target +/- 30 seconds.

Platoon Leader of a CH-47D Flight Platoon in Bravo Company, 1-52d Aviation Regiment. Responsible for conducting operations in support of Operation 11-12 and United States Army Alaska. Responsible for the leadership, combat readiness, welfare, and morale of 30 Soldiers. Responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful accomplishment of all assigned missions, to include tactical Air Assaults and General Support missions. Responsible to the Commander for the daily operational readiness of four CH-47D Chinook helicopters and all associated equipment valued in excess of $40 million dollars. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the aircrew training plan for the Platoon’s rated and non-rated crewmembers. Responsible for the duties of the Company Commander in his absence.

Urozgan Province, Afghanistan

Hand selected to serve as the Officer in Charge of a 30 Soldier and three CH-47D aircraft detachment at Forward Operating Base Tarin Kowt (TK). Responsible for the integration of all crews and maintenance Soldiers into the Task Force. Executed a multitude of missions varying from the battlefield circulation of personnel and equipment to high risk air assaults.

Fort Wainwright, Ak

Distribution platoon leader responsible for the supervision of 24-hour direct refuel support of 30 UH-60 Blackhawk and 12 CH-47D Chinook helicopters and additional support to 30 OH-58 Kiowa helicopters, various transient military and civilian aircraft, and 109 ground tactical vehicles; responsible for the operation of a fixed hot refueling point, quantity and quality control of government fuel stocks; responsible for the training, health, and welfare of 15 noncommissioned officers and 42 Soldiers and their family members; supervised the maintenance of 21 M978 Fuel Tanker truckers valued in excess of $1 million.
