Executive Officer of a MTOE Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Battalion consisting of six subordinate Ordnance Companies (EOD) with a combined strength of 443 Soldiers with a mission to protect forces and citizens from Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High Explosive (CBRNE) threats, Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). Provide support to military installations and federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies throughout the National Capital Region and a four State area of responsibility. Provides EOD support to the United States Secret Service in the protection of the President, the Vice President, foreign dignitaries, and governmental heads of state. Serve as the OIC for all matters concerning resourcing, personnel, operations, and plans; supervise and direct the battalion staff.
