As Director of DoD accounts for CCI, Bob is responsible for customer relationship activities that will grow current business as well as nurture new opportunities (e.g., Northrop Grumman Corp., IBM, Ernst & Young, Accenture, Cubic, etc.). These duties include creating the company’s growth strategy, communicating with external companies, providing responses to request for proposals, evaluating Potential Value and Total Potential Value for each opportunity as well as customer engagement activities with DoD General Officers and Senior Executives.

Bob has honed his skill set in a multitude of business development/capture activities within the Department of Defense (DoD) arena (shaping, strategic planning, basis of estimate development, resource planning, identifying bill of materials requirements, black-hat assessments, basis of estimate, resource planning, budgets, long range strategic planning (LRSP), program risks, etc.). As a Capture Manager for the Land Forces & Protection Systems Operating Unit, Bob “shaped” opportunities that were valued in excess of $450 million (TPV) with near term opportunities of <$250M (PV).

As a communications manager for the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) program, Bob leveraged his master’s degree in Internet Marketing (social media) to develop and execute the strategic vision of all marketing materials and communication messaging (i.e., branding, brochures, posters, flyers, folders, DVDs, simulations, conferences, websites, and other social media platforms), allowing Army leaders to effectively engage its 100,000 User base population. For over 12 years, Bob has worked with various NG Communication leaders and their teams within Mission Systems Sector. As part of my MARCOM responsibilities for Northrop Grumman, Bob led the effort for the GCSS-Army 100% Fielding celebration which encompassed Ms. Kathy Warden (President, Northrop Grumman) and Mr. Bill Moore (Deputy, Department of the Army G4 [Logistics]) as the guest speakers. Over the years, Bob has supported several symposiums as well as worked with graphic artist teams to develop multiple program level branding products. During Bob’s career with Northrop Grumman, he has led multiple communication teams supporting business development activities, values in excess of 13 billion dollars.

I have served in a variety of managerial positions within the Department of Defense’s largest Army Information Technology program, currently valued in excess of 1 Billion Dollars. This IT program is viewed within DoD as one of the most successful Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP logistics/finance solution the Army has implemented to date. As the Program Operations Manager, I am responsible for managing a team that executes all the day-to-day activities (e.g., resource management, security clearances, recruiting, equipment management, and program training, etc.) to over 700 program members. Daily, I leverage my knowledge in Earned Value Management System methodology to measure performance against scope, period of performance and cost for approximately 120 million dollars worth of equipment, travel and labor. In my capacity as the Operation Manger, I work directly with our government customer, sub-contractors (both large and small businesses) and cross-team technical managers to resolve contractual concerns as well as provide program and corporate guidance and direction. Prior to becoming the Operation Manager, I successfully planned and executed the Army’s largest “cut-over” event for this IT solution; migrating over 16 systems into a single SAP solution.

During Bob’s 20 years as an Army Officer, he participated in numerous meetings with several Senior Army leaders and key Department of Defense Executives. During his last duty assignment, he worked directly with the Combined Arms Services Command (CASCOM) Commanding General’s staff on several projects (e.g., Army Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Realignment Program). While deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Bob served as the Officer responsible for all units rotating and redeploying in and out of the Theater of Operation. Daily, he coordinated with General Officers and their staffs to ensure proper socialization of projects and plans (e.g., Coalition Forces Land Component Command (CFLCC) Command Group, FORSCOM, CENTCOM and the Department of the Army G3). While assigned to the United States Army European Command (USARER), Bob participated in over 50 VIP (Senior Military and DoD) visits, which highlighted the development of range complexes and technology that totaled over $10 million. As a key member to the Seventh Army Training Command Senior Leader Synch Planning Committee, Bob led the design and development of two multi-purpose range complexes totaling over $30 million.
