Robert Boston entered the Air Force in March 1987 after graduating from Ohio University and the ROTC program. He spent 9 years on active duty serving the last 6 years in joint duty positions. His last Active duty tour was with the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) and supported the US and NATO activities in OPERATION DETERMINED EFFORT in Italy as well as the in the former Yugoslavia. Since joining the Reserves his expertise and leadership have been required many times in support of the Air Forces Joint Expeditionary Experiment (JEFX), OPERATION ALLIED FORCE, OPERATION DESERT SHIFT, OPERATION SOUTHERN WATCH, OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, and OPERTAION IRAQI FREEDOM. He has proven himself to be among the best systems engineers and a visionary consistently delivering operational utility to the warfighter. His latest operational success was leading, as Director - DISA Support Element Afghanistan, support to ISAF, USFOR and directly engaging Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ministries.Specialties: Integration of technical capability for operational mission effects.
