After finished a program at Gnomon in 2013, I came back to Colorado. Before, during, and after Gnomon, I've been with CU's small research team in automated lip sync animation for over a decade. The Van Vuuren lab at the Institute of Cognitive Science develops perhaps the most robust and flexible digital avatars used in research today. It's there that I've worked to become among the world's leading experts in realtime facial rigging and animation, creating a number of proprietary technologies and unique systems; including a recent patent; to push the boundaries of how you communicate with digital devices.The link is to a short demonstration of the most recent rig I built for CU. It can be customized to fit most of the gamut of human facial morphology, has a sticky lips system, and is targeted to realtime game engines (though this was rendered in Arnold).
