My responsibilities were to oversee the construction and installation of the Mechanical and Electrical aspects of the Waste Water Treatment plants in Gaborone, Botswana as well as the Waste Water Treatment works in Eldorado Park (South of Johannesburg), and was instrumental in finalising the the compact waste water works for the Impex-Ichthys gas project in Darwin, Australia.Responsibilities and activities included:Ensuring conformity to Health and safety reqiutements and embrace the philosphy of the SHEQ risk management system.Liaise with relevant site representatives where required.Attend to all technical problems and ensure all contractural obligations and conditions are adhered to.Coordinate the work activities of all staff and communicate revisions to drawings and programs to all concerned.Adhere to work codes and assist with pre-planning of work methodologies.Provide all necessary assistance on monthly sub-contractor evaluations and claims.

Site manage electrical installation, power reticulation, area lighting, nurse call systems, intercom systems, fire detection systems, access control and specialist installation for theatre requirements to;Scottish Livingston Hospital at Molepolole, and the new Maun Hospital.Site manage electrical installation to additions for new computer wing at Botswana University.Site manage entire installation to include setting out of the electrical power reticulation, installation to dormitory dwellings, installation to staff housing complex, auditorium lecture theatres, sports complex including area and road lighting, all for the Botswana International University for Science and Technology at Palapye.

The project encompassed the Electrical and Mechanical installation to the construction of a new hotel for Anchorage Leisures on Victoria Island.Our involvement in the project covered such aspects as general lighting and small power, parking and roadway lighting, the public address and music system, data network and communication systems, air-conditioning, ventilation and sprinkler installations.We were also responsible for the hot and cold water installation, and plumbing and storm water drainage.

Location Logistics Inc. (an American company) was awarded contracts to provide Community Hospitals to various towns in the state of Parana.At the first location (SAdP), as project electrician and supervisor, we were responsible for the entire electrical installation for lighting and smallpower distribution, as well as a nurse call installation, telephone network and general communication and data network.Specialist installation of medical lighting in theatres and an HVAC installation, as well as an emergency generating power plant.At location 2 (QdI), as project manager, we oversaw the entire building construction from setting out to securing the integrity of the interior of the structure.The project came to a halt due to lack of funds from the town coffers.
