Nuclear Field Engineer
Current• Led groups of approximately 2 engineers and 15 technicians to perform maintenance under the reactor at different Nuclear Power Plants worldwide, including Spain, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, and Alabama.• Supported approximately 22 boiling water reactor, under the vessel outages all over the world, including Cofrentes Nuclear Generation Station (Cofrentes, Spain).• Supported producing multi-million-dollar, multi-outage agreements with domestic and international customers• Instructed numerous classes of six to ten students on how to perform specific maintenance under the reactor, including: lessons on removing and replacing control rod drives; removing and replacing local power range monitors; removing and installing traversing in-core probe tubing; removing and replacing source and intermediate range monitors; maintenance on source and intermediate range monitor motor modules; and maintenance on hydraulic control units.• Updated General Electric Hitachi tooling specific procedures used for all the maintenance done under vessel after every outage season to continuously improve the work process.• Created evolution-based videos of different under vessel processes that GEH conducts in order to offer new technicians a visual image of their responsibilities in the nuclear field.• Generated different tooling ideas for various processes that are performed under the reactor, with a focus on dose savings and work efficiency, including support tooling that are used to remove and replace control rod drives, and removing and replacing nuclear instrumentation.
